### Darcy Taylor — Owner/Level 11 Stylist
Darcy’s relationship with Aveda began the moment she graduated cosmetology school in 2001 — and it’s shaped everything she’s built since.

Over the past two decades, that commitment to education has taken her across the country and around the world: to New York, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Boston, London, Vancouver, and Minneapolis alongside Aveda, and to Chicago’s Vidal Sassoon Academy to sharpen the precision cutting skills she’s known for. She’s even brought that knowledge full circle, serving as a teaching assistant at the Aveda Advanced Academy in Denver.

In 2011, Darcy opened Salon Enso with a clear vision — a salon that doesn’t just use Aveda products, but genuinely lives the Aveda mission. Every detail of the environment she’s created reflects that intention. She’s a graduate of the Assets Lancaster business program and partners with the local SCORE chapter to continuously strengthen both her business and guest experience — because she believes excellence behind the chair and excellence in how you treat people go hand in hand.

Her work and her salon have been featured in local publications, but what she’s most proud of is the team and community she’s grown here.

### Kelly Wimer — Level 11 Stylist
Kelly has been part of the Aveda family since 1995 — and in that time, she’s become one of the most well-traveled, deeply educated stylists you’ll find anywhere in Lancaster.

Her precision cutting expertise has been refined through countless hours at the Aveda Advanced Academy in New York City and the Vidal Sassoon Academy in both Miami and Chicago. She’s taken that education on the road to Pittsburgh, New Jersey, Connecticut, Washington DC, Philadelphia, and Virginia, and brought it to some of fashion’s biggest stages — including New York Fashion Week and the Fashion Institute of Technology’s runway. Her work has also appeared in local editorial publications.

At Salon Enso, Kelly serves as Brand Ambassador, making her the go-to for Aveda product knowledge for guests and stylists alike. She’s known for the way she customizes — listening to each guest and combining color and cut in a way that genuinely flatters the individual in front of her, not a trend on a mood board.

For Kelly, Aveda has always been about more than great products. It’s a philosophy — one that connects beauty to nature, wellness, and giving back to the community she’s part of.

When she’s not behind the chair, Kelly is living like every day is an adventure: road trips, staying active outdoors, gardening, and feeding a genuine curiosity for world history.

### Lisa Lewis — Level 10 Stylist
Lisa has been behind the chair since 2002 — and after more than two decades, her love for the work hasn’t dimmed a bit. She joined the Aveda family in 2014 and has continued growing her skills through Aveda education ever since.

What drives Lisa is simple: creativity in service of how someone feels. Every guest who sits in her chair gets her full attention and a result designed to make them feel genuinely good about themselves when they leave.

Outside the salon, Lisa is a devoted wife, mom to three, and — by necessity — an expert at managing the beautiful chaos that comes with two large, energetic dogs.

### Susan Royer — Level 7 Stylist
Susan has been an Aveda stylist since 1994 — bringing over three decades of experience, craft, and genuine care to every guest she works with.

Continuing education has been a constant throughout her career, taking her to New York, Philadelphia, Washington DC, and Virginia to stay sharp on the latest trends and techniques. The result is a stylist who is as comfortable with a classic, timeless cut as she is with what’s current.

Sid came to Salon Enso straight out of cosmetology school in 2020 and hasn’t stopped learning since.

She worked her way through the Salon Enso Academy, building her foundation in the Aveda way from the ground up, then continued expanding her skills through classes in balayage techniques, toning, formal styling, color, and cutting — including men’s and curly hair. With an art background informing everything she does, it was color that captured her immediately: the customization, the layering, the endless possibilities. For Sid, a color consultation isn’t a checklist — it’s a creative conversation.

Shiana has been doing hair for as long as she can remember — since age 11, to be exact, when she started styling her own hair and volunteering her sisters as willing subjects before school and for special occasions. After high school, Shiana took a detour into the restaurant industry with an eye toward eventually owning her own business. But after some honest reflection, she came back to what had always felt most like herself. #### Do you accept walk-ins?
We accept walk-ins if we have availability at the time of the walk-in.

#### How do I know which stylist to book with?

#### What is your cancellation policy?
Our cancellation policy requires 24-hour notice prior to the scheduled service. If there is a cancellation within 24 hours of the service, the cancellation fee will be charged. This is 50% of the booked services price. If there is a no show for the service, 100% of the booked service price will be charged. We send all guests text and email confirmation reminders.

#### Do I need a card on file to book?
It is our policy to securely hold a card on file at the time of booking.

#### How far in advance should I book?
Booking cadence varies by stylist. Some of our newer stylists have availability within a week, while stylists who have been with Salon Enso for 5–15 years can book out 4–6 weeks. We always recommend booking your next visit before you leave.

#### What hair extension brands do you carry?
At Salon Enso, our certified extension specialists are trained in multiple extension methods to offer safe, professional application and personalized results. We exclusively use Bellami high-quality, ethically sourced hair that maintains its softness, shine, and strength over time.

#### Do you offer services for men and children?
Yes, all services are available to men and children.

#### What is the difference between highlights and balayage?
Highlights and balayage are both lightening techniques, but they create different results.

Highlights use foils or a cap to lighten sections evenly, creating bright, uniform ribbons of color. As hair grows, they may leave a noticeable root line.

Balayage, meaning “to sweep” in French, is a freehand technique where lightener is painted onto the hair. It creates a softer, sun-kissed blend with a natural transition from roots to ends and seamless grow-out.

Key differences:
• Placement: Highlights are structured; balayage is softer and more varied.
• Result: Highlights add stronger contrast; balayage gives a natural, dimensional finish.
• Maintenance: Highlights often need touch-ups every 6–8 weeks, while balayage may last 12–16 weeks.
• Customization: Balayage is tailored to your haircut, texture, and desired look.

#### How often should I come in for a color retouch?
Your color cadence will depend on your customized color formula and placement. Our basic color maintenance recommendations are:

- On the scalp color retouch- 4-6 weeks
- Foil highlighted look 8-10 weeks
- Balayage look 12-14 weeks

#### What does the stylist level system mean?
Our stylists are assigned levels based on their years of experience and continuing education. The higher the level, the more specialized their training — but every member of our team is held to the same standard of care and guest experience.

#### Why do prices vary between stylists?
Pricing reflects your stylist’s level of experience and the specific needs of your hair.

#### Do prices vary based on hair length or thickness?
Color prices vary based on the experience level of your stylist, the services and time required to achieve your desired end look, which may be impacted by the length and thickness of your hair. Haircut prices only vary by stylist level.

#### What services require a consultation?
We have a thorough consultation with every service. Booking a separate consultation is suggested for new color guests or color corrections.

#### Do you offer free consultations?
Yes, haircut and coloring guests are offered a complimentary consultation. These are 15-minute appointments to review pictures, current hair condition, lifestyle, hair history, likes and dislikes, budgets, and hair routines. Hair extension consultations are a $60 deposit toward the extension installation. These are a 60-minute deep dive into what it takes to install, maintain, and wear hair extensions.

#### What is a color correction and how is it priced?
We consider a color to be corrected and/or changed when:

1. A change of tone is desired. (example: Red to Blonde, or Blonde to Brown or Brown to etc…)
2. When any color needs to be removed. (example: Home Color, Dark and Red Pigment, etc… )
3. A change of level is desired and you have previous color on your ends (example: Level Lighter)
4. Two or more levels and shades are apparent on the hair shaft
5. You worked on your color at home

Color correction prices are determined during a prior consultation where we can customize the services that need to be performed to get you to your desired results. Consultations are tailored with budgets in mind, giving options to meet your budget and hair needs.


### Salon Experience

#### Where are you located and is there parking?
Salon Enso is located at 245 Centerville Rd. Suite 6 Lancaster, Pa in the Sycamore Court complex with Grand Central Bagel and Issac’s. We are behind the Grand Central Bagel in the corner. We have a parking lot with an abundance of parking spots. NO street parking here!

#### What are your hours?
Monday–Thursday 9am–8pm, Friday 9am–5pm, and Saturday 9am–3pm. Closed Sunday.

#### Do you have a referral program?
Yes, When you refer a guest they get $20 off their first service and after their visit, you will get $25 off your next Aveda product purchase.

#### What is the Salon Enso Academy?
For stylists with 2 years or less of experience, we offer a comprehensive training program through our Academy. The Academy is developed from the “why” perspective of hairdressing. Beauty schools do a beautiful job at teaching how to do hair and the Salon Enso Academy builds on those skills by layering on WHY hair behaves the way it does. When stylists know the why and the how, they can create customized looks for guests with more accuracy and confidence. The Academy also takes a deep dive into our salon and Aveda culture, best practices for growing your clientele and solid foundational knowledge in the disciplines of cutting, coloring and styling.
